Welcome to I.S.K.U.

Welcome to the official website of the International Shitoryu Karate Union (I.S.K.U). My name is Kyoshi Athula Minithanthri. I started this non-political and non-profit organization for different reasons. The main concern is to help and support coaches, teachers and masters of Shito-ryu from all over the world in teaching and imparting Shito-ryu knowledge. Another important reason that goes along with this is the general improvement of Shitoryu karate knowledge. That’s why I want to invite all of you Shitoryu sensei to join this association, regardless of race, religion or origin.

Why joining the International Shitoryu Karate Union?

Some benefits at a glance

The International Shitoryu Karate Union (I.S.K.U) is a non-political and non-profit organization. In this organization all Shitoryu teachers and masters are welcome, regardless of their race, religion or origin.

The idea that led to the establishment of the International Shitoryu Karate Union is to improve, deepen, preserve and disseminate Shitoryu knowledge. In addition, we also want to bring that knowledge to the Shitoryu trainers so that they can develop strong karatekas.

Annual karate training camp

Holding annual training camps with some renowed international Karate masters to learn clean techniques.

International DAN exams

Holding DAN exams once a year with international recognized DAN diplomas signed by one of the internationally renowned karate masters of the Board of Technical Advisors.
